Cerritos opens Arthur Gallucci Promenade and honors 352 youth basketball participants

The promenade recognizes the service of Arthur Gallucci, who served as Cerritos city manager from 1991 to 2023. Members of the City Council and the Parks and Recreation Commission presented awards to 352 youth basketball participants as part of the opening events.
Volunteer coaches were thanked during the event; the mayor's award — which the city awards to coaches who volunteer more than 600 hours — was given to Carlos Rubio. The presentation recognized coaches' contributions to the season and to the city’s youth sports programming.
