Consent agenda: Commissioners approved agenda items 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11 on a single motion. Planning staff reported that notices were mailed for those items and that staff recommended approval for the items listed on the consent agenda.
Postponements: The commission postponed agenda item 4 (continued hearing from March 18) to April 15 on a motion that passed unanimously among those present. The commission also postponed item 7 (a request at 301 East Fest to change intensity to allow up to four units) to the April 15 meeting because the applicant was not present.
Approvals forwarded to Council: In addition to the guesthouse approval at 1837 Santa Monica (item 2), the commission approved a rezoning request for a property (item 3) and will forward those recommendations to City Council for final action. Several commissioners discussed lot sizes, potential subdivision implications and the relationship of R‑3 and other residential zoning categories to future lot divisions during consideration of those items.
Minutes and administrative matters: The commission approved minutes from its March 18 meeting. With no further business, the commission adjourned.
