Mifflin County approves payment applications and modest change orders for Austin sewer and water projects

Planning director Jim Matiero presented payment application No. 6 for the Austin Sewer Project, describing the request as "for C and R directional wiring" in the amount of $387,558.05, with remaining costs of $26,185 described as ineligible against the grant. The board moved and approved payment application No. 6.
Matiero also described a change order to the water project to address water pressure to a tank while maintaining lower pressure for a trailer park. The change increases the contract price by $8,815.21, from $1,544,595.70 to $1,553,410.91. Matiero said there is sufficient grant funding to cover the change.
Commissioners then approved payment application No. 7 for the Austin Water Project, in the amount of $69,922.12. Matiero noted $38,816 of that application were ineligible expenses and will be paid by Granville Township rather than the grant. He said both projects were anticipated to be completed by May, pending paving and contractor scheduling.
No roll-call tallies were recorded in the transcript; motions were approved by voice vote.
