The Huron City Commission approved an annual irrigation agreement allowing the local country club to pump water from city ponds into its ponds for irrigation.
Commissioner Bragg described the arrangement as an annual agreement renewed in recent years to share replacement and operating costs. Bragg noted the commission agreed to the arrangement “because of the increased cost and wanting to amortize out any replacement,” and said the club paid its portion after a pump failure last year.
Commissioners voted to authorize the mayor to sign the contract. The motion passed by roll call vote without extended discussion.
