All contested hearings were closed and each license was approved by voice vote with council members saying “aye.” The hearing record shows no sustained opposition during the public hearing; council closed the hearing prior to the approvals.
City purchases and contracts: Council approved routine purchasing items 19–24 and handled two items with brief discussion: - Item 18: Contract with Tidewater Landscape Management Inc. for West Victory Drive median irrigation and planting in the amount not to exceed $272,385. Park and Tree staff said the work will install irrigation, turf, palms and shrubs along West Victory Drive from MLK Jr. Boulevard to Ogeechee Road; council members thanked staff for addressing a previously neglected corridor. - Item 25: Geographic information system (GIS) assessment and road map with Wilpert in the amount of $100,161 to modernize the city’s GIS framework and improve data and public transparency.
Other approved purchasing items (19–24) included equipment and enterprise software purchases; council approved them by block vote.
Settlements: Council authorized settlement resolutions resolving claims: Galen Parker for $211,401 and Lawrence Harris for $50,000 (items 42–43).
