The Hutto City Council on March 27 approved Resolution R-2025-077 authorizing the city manager to execute a first amended and restated pump-and-haul wastewater agreement with Lennar Homes for the Winfield Park residential community.
Director of Real Estate Sarah Cervantes said the amended agreement adds a contractual completion date requiring Lennar to finish specified wastewater infrastructure by the date in the contract; that completion timetable gives the city and other nearby developers certainty about when the line will be operational. Cervantes said a partially executed version was in hand and city staff had circulated an updated document to council by email before the meeting.
Council voted 6-0 in favor of the resolution.
Ending: With the signed agreement the developer will proceed under the revised schedule; city staff will execute the document and monitor construction milestones and required approvals, including any railroad or other third-party clearances needed for the alignment.
