Commission approves personnel hires; longtime county administrative assistant retires

Sheriff Forbes introduced two new hires — Josh Sanders and David Renner — as fill for advertised transport positions. The meeting record lists both positions as benefits-eligible with a salary line recorded as “$32.65 54” in the transcript; the county administrator should be consulted for the official salary/compensation format. Commissioners moved to approve the personnel appointments and voted “aye.”
The commission also acknowledged the retirement of Pam Bierbauer, the county administrative assistant of 25 years. The administrator said Bierbauer’s last day would be imminently and that the county had already received and accepted applications for the vacancy.
County staff said they have redistributed some responsibilities and elevated an internal staff member, Tammy, to an office manager role to carry some of Bierbauer’s duties. The administrator described Tammy as taking on office-manager responsibilities and training during the transition.
No additional personnel items were on the agenda; the motions to approve the hires were approved by voice vote.
