A staff member who is the point of contact for the project said the work would begin with mobilization and surveying in April and that contractors will perform traffic control and rough earthwork starting in the first week of May. "So, so you're looking at May 1 through the July is when all the construction will take place," the staff member said. The schedule presented listed pipe and drain structure installation in mid-May through mid-June, paving and concrete ramps mid-June through July 11, and restoration, pavement markings and bollard installation July 11–18. The solar traffic signal system will be installed over the same period.
The board discussed logistical concerns: staff said much of the groundbreaking ceremony would be held at the pavilion because of wind and urged attendees to remain in the pavilion for safety during the event. Board members and staff said they will coordinate with County Highways (Steve Moriarty was named) on permitting and that a contractor (Niblock/Nibloc in the transcript) will coordinate utilities and relocations in the right of way.
Members agreed to distribute the schedule to County Highways and to be the public contact for nearby neighbors and stakeholder organizations. A board member said the board would encourage patience from drivers during construction, noting the project is on a highway and will create temporary traffic disruption.
No construction contracts were executed at the meeting; the item provided notice and coordination details for the upcoming work.
