The Mount Diablo Unified School District Board of Education approved a series of routine resolutions, policy updates and school plans during its March 19 meeting. The following items were adopted, generally by unanimous roll call with Trustee McDougall absent.
- Approval of minutes for the regular board meeting of March 12, 2025 (item 6.3). Motion adopted 4–0–0 (McDougall absent).
- Approval of the meeting agenda (item 6.4). Adopted 4–0–0 (McDougall absent).
- Resolution 24/25‑54 recognizing April 2025 as Arab American Heritage Month (item 10.1). Motion moved by Trustee Kounte (recorded as Trustee Kounde in the packet) and seconded by Trustee Nzewi; adopted 4–0–0 (McDougall absent).
- Resolution 24/25‑56 in support of K‑12 adult education and recognition of Adult Education Week (item 10.2). Moved by Trustee Mason, seconded by Trustee Kounte; adopted 4–0–0 (McDougall absent).
- Resolution 24/25‑57 authorizing designated individuals to update banking information after personnel changes (item 10.3). Moved by Trustee Nzewi, seconded by Trustee Mason; adopted 4–0–0 (McDougall absent).
- Consent agenda (item 13.1), which encompassed routine purchases, contract renewals and operational items included in the published packet. Motion by Trustee Nzewi, second by Trustee Mason; adopted 4–0–0 (McDougall absent).
- Approval of three School Plans for Student Achievement (SPSAs) for 2024‑25: Mount Diablo Elementary School, Short Acres Elementary School and Ignacio Valley High School (item 16.3). Motion by Trustee Kount, second by Trustee Mason; adopted 4–0–0 (McDougall absent). Staff noted improvements in dashboard indicators at Ignacio Valley and completion of site council approvals at the other sites.
- Administrative Regulation AR 1312.4 and exhibits 1312.41 and 1312.42 (related to complaint forms and procedures) were revised and adopted (item 16.4). Motion made and seconded in meeting; adopted 4–0–0 (McDougall absent). The board noted the Williams complaint form is included and reminded the public of new all‑gender restroom requirements effective July 1, 2026, referenced in the discussion.
- Board Policy BP 3540 (revisions) was adopted (item 16.5). Motion by Trustee Mason, second by Trustee Nzewi; adopted 4–0–0 (McDougall absent).
Several of the items included brief staff reports in the packet; none prompted extended debate. The clerk recorded roll calls for each adopted item; the board closed the meeting at 8:02 p.m.
