The Revere Board of Health unanimously approved renewal of two chicken-keeping licenses and two beekeeping licenses at its March 20 meeting after staff reported passed inspections.
Lauren Buck, Director of Public Health, told the board that Revere’s urban farming ordinance requires annual inspections and renewals for chicken and beekeeping licenses. She said two licensed chicken keepers and two licensed beekeepers were inspected and passed: Carmela and Luigi Decharya of 60 Howman Street (chickens); Ifa Genie Victorian of 93 High Street (chickens); Aldo de Oliveira of 364 Reservoir Avenue (bees); and Damien DeMarco of 202 Prospect Avenue (bees).
Buck recommended approval of all four licenses. The board—Chair Dr. Drew Bunker, Kathleen Savage and Viviana Quintano—each voiced approval and the clerk recorded three yes votes. No conditions or additional requirements were recorded in the meeting discussion.
