Esquivel said she enjoys trying new things and making the most of opportunities. She told the district she participates in cheer, UIL ArtsMart, Honor Choir, a video club and the Battle of the Books competition. Outside school, she said she stays busy with tennis, dance and helping at her church.
"You can use your voice to change the world," Esquivel said. The district extended congratulations to Esquivel and noted she represents her school and community.
