Leavenworth County commissioners voted to conditionally approve two final plats presented by county planning staff.
Staff said Elsin Estates Number 2 is a subdivision of a roughly 16-acre parcel into five lots; the planning commission granted one exception for an irregularly shaped lot and recommended approval 8–0. The board conditionally approved the final plat subject to conditions in the staff report and planning commission adoption.
The board also approved Cheyenne Crossings Number 2, a final plat that subdivides a roughly 34-acre parcel into 13 lots. Planning staff said the planning commission approved an exception related to the calculation of minimum road frontage (measured at the front building setback line rather than lot frontage where lots are irregular), weighed the considerations and recommended approval to the board. The board moved to find the proposed final plat compliant with county zoning and subdivision regulations and conditionally approved it subject to staff conditions.
Both actions were presented as routine final‑plat approvals coming after planning‑commission review and exception requests; the board approved both motions by recorded voice votes.
