Residents ask city to address paving and stormwater problems in two neighborhoods
Summary
Two residents raised infrastructure concerns at Monday’s meeting: a request for Cadillac Lane to be placed on the paving schedule and repeated standing water on Lagoon Drive. City staff said they would confirm the paving schedule for Cadillac Lane and that public works has begun clearing debris and trenching at Lagoon Drive and will follow up.

Two McMinnville residents used the public-comment portion of Monday’s Board meeting to press the city for action on neighborhood infrastructure.
Terry Stott asked the board to prioritize paving for Cadillac Lane, saying the street is “busting right down the middle” with cracks and potholes and that property values are affected. A city official said the street will be checked against the city’s paving schedule and the streets manager would be consulted.
Jeremy Hamilton described persistent stormwater and standing-water problems on Lagoon Drive. Hamilton said the trench and storm drain near 119–127 Lagoon are full of debris, leaving about half an acre flooded after heavy rain and bringing water within a few feet of houses. He identified the contractor who prepared the development as Aaron Holmes and said public works had come out with excavation equipment.
A city representative confirmed public works had begun clearing and that staff would remain engaged on follow-up work. “I will make sure that we address the stormwater issues,” a city official said.
Neither item resulted in formal board action during the meeting; staff indicated they would follow up with residents on the paving schedule and further stormwater work.
