The Tolleson Union High School District governing board reviewed two personnel policies on a first reading: GCCBC, professional support staff paid parental leave, and GCCA, professional support staff personal/differentiated leave. No action was required; both items were presented for initial review based on recommendations from the district—s meeting/conference committee.
Superintendent Gaitis introduced the items and staff noted these were first readings intended to solicit board input before a future action. "This is a first reading, so no board action is required," the superintendent said. The presentation explained the policies were provided for a first review and that any suggested revisions from the governing board would be incorporated ahead of the second reading.
Board members had no substantive questions during the brief presentation and the agenda moved on to future agenda items and housekeeping. Because these items were first reads, staff did not present proposed final language or motions and no vote was held.
