Planning commission approves shared-parking agreement for 2373 West 700 South

The Springville City Planning Commission approved an administrative shared-parking agreement on a voice vote that allows offices and a proposed indoor sand-volleyball facility at 2373 West 700 South to share parking stalls under a time-of-day arrangement.

Staff said the property, developed in three phases, was built with a warehouse-oriented parking analysis (one stall per employee on the largest shift) but a new tenant proposes recreation use that, under code, would require roughly 60 stalls for the volleyball courts. Laura, a Community Development staff member, said the applicant has a current shortfall of “a little over 30 stalls,” and staff negotiated a written shared-parking agreement to address peak-hour conflicts.
