Peyton Croxford, identified as senior class president, said the senior class could mobilize roughly 50 students for a community service day and wanted to collaborate with city staff to identify a useful project. Fellow students Jackson Redder and Aubrey Brooks described prior service efforts, including trail cleanups, and said this year’s project would likely focus on heavier landscaping work along the Mickelson Mile.
Councilmember Dave moved to donate $500 to Morgan High School for Operation Graduation; the motion was seconded and approved with verbal ayes. Councilmembers and staff discussed coordination logistics and asked the seniors to contact Ty Bailey (parks staff) for details.
After the vote, the students thanked the council. Council members and staff said the town has traditionally given a small donation to the senior class in past years and that staff would provide logistical support for the May service day.
