Hobbs Municipal Schools on March 25 previewed a redesigned district and school website and a new mobile app, with staff saying the sites and app will go live at 4 p.m. the following day.
District webmaster Noe Sotto and IT staff gave a live demonstration explaining the site layout: a top navigation bar with quick links for parents and students, a live feed that aggregates posts from the district’s social channels, event listings and large-format news articles. The platform also includes a mobile app (branded in the demo as "Hot Eagles") with live feed, events, forms and a two-way classroom communication feature.
Presenters said the new structure standardizes templates across district, high school, middle and elementary school pages so families can navigate consistently. Staff noted capabilities for instant translation on school pages, app-based forms and a visible "report a concern" button on the home page. Training sessions for staff and campus lead users are planned before and after the public launch.
Apogee, the vendor assisting with migration, participated remotely. Board members thanked the web and communications staff for working through nearly a year-long project and praised features intended to simplify staff workflows and improve community communications.
