The Meridian City Council recorded several formal actions during its March 25 meeting:
- Resolution 25-2507: The council adopted the summer 2025 Parks and Recreation fee schedule by resolution. The motion passed by voice vote; council indicated unanimous assent during the roll-call portion of the meeting.
- H2025-0003 (Bald Cypress multifamily, easement vacation): The council approved a request to vacate a portion of a 20-foot city water easement on a 3.76-acre CG-zoned site at 3570 North Eagle Road so the property can be developed in accordance with an approved conditional-use permit. Staff reported a relinquishment letter from Public Works consenting to the vacation; no public testimony was received. The applicant (represented by Anthony Newton on behalf of Kimberly Horn) stated the proposed southern water connection would meet Public Works’ requirements. Motion to approve was recorded and carried.
- H2025-0005 (Graycliff Estates No. 5, Lot 12, easement reduction): The council approved reducing a 10-foot permanent public-utility/pressurized-irrigation/lot-drainage easement by 5 feet to accommodate a larger home on a vacant flag lot at 4445 South Tandycroft Avenue. Utility agencies (Lumen/CenturyLink, Intermountain Gas, Nampa Meridian and Idaho Power) provided relinquishment letters. KB Home’s representative said the future homeowner is under contract and ready to build conditional on the easement reduction. Motion to approve carried.
- Note: The council earlier in the meeting approved a $158,760 FY2025 budget amendment funding design work for a Fire Outreach Center attached to the Meridian Community Center; that amendment, discussed in detail during a staff presentation, passed by a recorded vote (see separate article).
