Committee representative Colin described the process as competitive and noted the panel’s intent to maximize community benefit across cultural, recreational and arts projects.
Councilmember Colin moved to accept the RAPTAC funding recommendations and council approved the motion 5–0. Councilmembers discussed publicizing award recipients and the outcomes so the community understands how the tax proceeds are used; staff said they would develop a communications plan to highlight funded events and projects.
