At the bid opening for courthouse fire doors, Rogers County staff said the county had solicited 11 bids and received none.
Staff reported the original door manufacturer and a company that produced components went out of business. A vendor previously contacted, described in the meeting as a provider of an equivalent product, had given a prior estimate in the ballpark of "$84,000" for a single door replacement, according to staff comments. Because no bids returned, the county took no award action.
Staff recommended contacting the known vendor again to obtain a current, confirmed quote and to reissue the solicitation if necessary. The commission directed staff to reach back out to that vendor and to follow up with additional outreach to other known vendors.
No contract was awarded and no appropriation was approved during the meeting; staff will report updated pricing and vendor responses at a later date.
