The Montana House Fish and Wildlife Committee advanced Senate Bill 310, a bill to codify the split and eligible uses for the Trail Stewardship Grant Program administered by Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP).
Senator Barry Usher, sponsor of SB 310, told the committee the bill “puts into law the split of 40 for motorized, 40% for non motorized, and 20% for programs that can benefit both such as search and rescue.” He said the bill “does not raise any new funds or fees” but clarifies how existing monies may be allocated and spent.
