Rhode Island Senate adopts Greek Independence resolution, renames bridge and approves AHEPA specialty plates

The Rhode Island Senate on March 25, 2025, adopted a slate of ceremonial resolutions and two enacted measures, including authorization of special motor‑vehicle registration plates for the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) and renaming a Sauconet River bridge for Staff Sergeant Christopher Potts, the chamber recorded.

The measures were largely noncontroversial and passed with voice votes or unanimous recorded tallies. Senators also approved a resolution commemorating Greek Independence Day and a resolution designating February as National Social Work Month.
