Planning commission recommends three home-occupancy and grading items for council approval

Jane Brennan, vice chair of the Rockville Planning Commission, presented three recommendations to the council on March 12: two home-occupancy permits and one grading/excavation permit.

Brennan said the commission recommended approval of a home-occupancy permit for Moonflower Beverage Company, submitted by Kaylee Evenson, described as a mobile bartending operation that would be supplied by clients and operate from a vehicle or trailer at private events. "There won't be any alcohol on-site; the alcohol is supplied by the clients," Brennan said.

The commission also recommended approval of a home-occupancy permit for Jeff Crosland's business Gather 88. Brennan said Crosland will do paperwork and bookkeeping at his Bridge Road address but will perform cooking at client locations using a kitchen in another town.

The third recommendation was to approve a grading and excavation permit for a holding irrigation pond on Grafton Road submitted by John and Nancy Lowe; Brennan noted the pond sits between the road and the Lowe residence and that construction is underway.

Brennan told the council all three items were approved by the planning commission for recommendation to the town council. The items were placed on the council's administrative agenda for action; the council's subsequent vote on those specific approvals was not recorded in detail in the transcript of the March 12 meeting.
