The Speaker of the House told members on the floor that budget conferees and appropriators had worked through multiple meetings and "got us a good budget," and he said he anticipated the House would adjourn on Friday and reconvene Monday.

Earlier in the day the House recessed until 1 p.m. on a passed motion; later, the House approved a motion to stand adjourned until 10 a.m. the following day. Both procedural motions were approved on the floor by voice vote, with the Speaker stating that the ayes had it.
The Speaker urged members who were conferees or working on bills to complete their work promptly, noting the potential for the legislative schedule to move quickly if conference reports come together. The House record provided no additional details on specific budget numbers, the content of conference reports, or the schedule for the other chamber.
Committee and calendar notes recorded on the floor included a notice that the Local and Private calendar would meet after adjournment and that management would meet immediately after adjournment on the day of the session.
