Development notification: Patricia (Zoom commenter) urged the council to expand notice practices for development to reach renters and occupants of nonresidential properties near proposed projects. Patricia said, "I would really like to encourage city council to adopt having larger signs that are more visible, more certainly more sturdy, and will hopefully last the test of time." Norweld Road: Danny O'Neil, identified as Byram Land Use Officer, raised safety concerns about vehicle speeds and the condition of the sidewalk on the north side of Norweld Road, saying the sidewalk is "horrible" and may cause falls. Council members directed him to contact Washington County Commissioner Jason Snyder for county-managed portions of the road and suggested contacting ODOT for state-jurisdiction issues; Council President Pratt advised contacting "Chris Strickler" at ODOT and noted jurisdictional complexity.
Dialysis transport: Michelle Palma, a social worker with DaVita Dialysis, described transportation challenges for dialysis patients after Ride Connection service changes in Washington County. Palma said some patients are now unable to access reliable rides to life-sustaining dialysis appointments and proposed that Tualatin consider a program similar to Wilsonville's SMART program to provide low-cost or no-cost medical transportation for elderly and disabled residents. Council staff agreed to follow up with Palma after the meeting.
