Bannock County commissioners approve several routine resolutions, a change order and consent items

Bannock County commissioners recorded a series of routine approvals and resolutions on March 25, including ratifying a recently adopted vehicle size and weight limits resolution and approving uses for Title 3 funds for search-and-rescue backcountry operations.

Mister Klauser (staff) presented the Title 3 funds follow-up and said no public comments were received during the required 90-day public comment period. The board approved Resolution 2025-25 to outline uses for the Title 3 funds allocated to search-and-rescue backcountry activities.

The board also ratified signatures on Resolution 2025-24, which establishes vehicle size and weight limits; commissioners moved to ratify the resolution and approved it by voice vote.

Shanda Kirstel, chief procurement officer, presented a change order with Teton West that carries no additional money but moves the contract’s substantial completion date from April to May 4 due to winter weather delays. Kirstel told the board the change affects the shell completion date only and, per coordination with project manager Daniel, should not delay interior subcontractor work; commissioners approved the change order.

Separately, commissioners authorized disposal of certain courtroom office furniture and approved the consent agenda, which included salaried approval forms and certification of minutes for March 18 and March 25.

Several procurement updates were provided for future action: a chip-seal aggregate solicitation will be sent to Road and Bridge; a combined road-striping-and-paint solicitation will be posted; and bids for a diesel generator fuel tank for the detention center were opened, with a recommendation expected on Thursday’s agenda.
