Ada County commissioners approved a set of agreements March 25 that included event agreements for Expo Idaho, two agreements for Barber Park Education and Event Center, and an operations review contract for the county landfill with Blue Ridge Services.
County staff described the Blue Ridge Services agreement (agreement number 30453) as a comprehensive operations review to evaluate landfill safety, operational practices and cost efficiencies. Staff said the firm conducts similar core assessments nationwide and expects the review to identify ways to improve landfill operations and safety.
The board also approved agreements to host fair events at Expo Idaho and several other event-related agreements that county staff said were routine and previously conducted. Commissioners approved the package by voice vote and authorized the chair to sign the documents.
Staff noted other agreements in the package included a mock trial program for high school students using the courthouse and tenant-support work at a victim services center; no additional public comment or questions were raised on the record.
