Megan Wallace, who introduced herself in the committee hearing, said she is the interim deputy director of finance and administration at the Port of San Francisco and that she previously served on the Treasury Oversight Committee representing the San Francisco Unified School District from 2019 to 2022. She summarized more than 17 years in public service and roles at the White House Office of Management and Budget, the Port of San Francisco, SFUSD and later positions focused on finance and recovery work at the Port.
During committee consideration a technical correction was proposed and adopted to delete the word "rejecting" (and related language) from the legislation text. The committee then voted to send the nomination to the full Board with a positive recommendation; the motion passed without objection. No public speakers addressed the nomination during the hearing.
