Commissioners approve consent agendas, ratify promotions; Health Care Foundation and Toll Road Authority consent items pass 5-0

The Collin County Commissioners Court approved its consent agenda and ratified several personnel actions and agency consent items by unanimous votes at its Oct. 27 meeting.

Early in the meeting the court considered a consent agenda of routine items and voted 5-0 to approve the remainder of the list after one item was held. The court also approved a separate motion recognizing personnel changes: Commissioner Hale noted Dakota Allen for licensure as a sheriff's deputy and announced promotions for Sonya Turner and Tammy Corey in the tax office, and the court voted to approve those personnel matters 5-0.

The county also recessed its Commissioners Court to convene the Collin County Health Care Foundation, which considered a consent agenda and approved it by a 5-0 vote, and then called a meeting of the Collin County Toll Road Authority; the Toll Road Authority consent agenda also passed 5-0. Each of those actions was taken with a motion, a second, and a recorded unanimous vote.

Following the agency votes, the court announced it would recess into executive session under chapter 551.076 (the security chapter) to discuss an after‑action report on the March 4 power outage event. The court stated that it would not take action in executive session and would adjourn for the day after the closed session.

No public comments on the consent items were recorded during the meeting.
