Trustees then considered a memorandum of understanding to set a $15,000 threshold for joint MOU approvals. The counties agreed that items over $15,000 would require additional joint oversight; the motion to adopt the $15,000 limit and the MOU carried.
The drainage administrator presented two work orders for repair. One was for Matt Lund on DD 39 Lateral 1 in Grant (Grama) Section 34 to address two blowouts; the other was for Chris Chambers for Highway Drain 4 in Blaine Section 14 to repair a broken tile. The administrator reported that Ryan had inspected the Lund site and that Chambers filed his request online. Trustees approved the work orders; the drainage administrator was authorized to proceed with scheduling repairs and contractors as appropriate.
Meeting participants included Wright County Deputy Auditor Doug Nesheim and Drainage Administrator Courtney Morris; Robert Watts attended via Zoom. Board action was recorded by motion and voice vote for each item.
Next steps: the drainage office will schedule repairs and provide invoices as required; any larger repairs exceeding the MOU threshold will return to a joint meeting for further approval.
