Supervisors raised concerns about the timeliness and accuracy of a recent treasurer’s report after noticing apparent discrepancies in reported PMA investment figures.
One supervisor said the report listed PMA investments at $1,000,000 but that January records showed $10,000,000. The treasurer said the report was completed after returning from trainings and that some source systems (Prevail/PMA) were not accessible until later in the month; she said she had downloaded the document she used but acknowledged the need to reconcile with the finance director and update the report if there is an error. She said, “I have had no training on pulling any of the documents from Prevail or PMA. I am very familiar with using banking reports, but I still believe that... the proper thing would have been to have some training, and background on how we pull this information.”
Board members asked for the report date to be corrected (it showed November 2024 in the copy viewed) and for staff to provide an updated report reflecting February data. The clerk confirmed all members were present at roll call, and the board approved the meeting agenda and previous minutes earlier in the session.
The treasurer committed to working with the finance director (Kyle) to reconcile the PMA numbers and to update the board when accurate figures are available. No formal corrective action beyond updating the report was taken at the meeting.
