Adams County panel approves replacement manufactured home in New Chester

The Adams County Planning and Zoning Committee approved a conditional-use request at its March planning and zoning meeting to replace a 1994 single-wide manufactured home with a 2010 single-wide manufactured home on property in the town of New Chester.
The application, presented by planning staff, sought permission under Section 40532(c) of the Adams County comprehensive zoning ordinance to replace the older unit with a 2010 model on parcel 20-60-5 in the Northwest Quarter, Northeast Quarter of Section 7, Town 16 North, Range 7 East (address on file as 25026 Drive). The town of New Chester attended its January meeting and did not object to the request, staff said.
Dusty, planning staff who read the application, said the application materials listed the new home as a 16-by-76 2010 manufactured home and that the photos in the packet were of the new unit. Kenneth Gannett, the applicant, confirmed the unit described in the application was the one he planned to place and said, "That's the new one. That's the 02/2010." No members of the public spoke in favor or opposition during the hearing.
Committee member Larry moved to approve the conditional-use request; John seconded. The committee conducted a roll-call vote and approved the request. Staff noted the approval does not have to go before the full Adams County Board.
The committee took no additional conditions or directions on the application during the meeting.
