Sweep told the council the office is accepting Community Project Funding (CPF) requests for Fiscal Year 2026 and that the district office’s internal deadline is March 31, 2025, at 5 p.m. He noted guidance from the House Appropriations Committee continues to evolve and advised applicants to re-submit projects selected in FY25 if those projects seek FY26 funding because final appropriation decisions remain unsettled.
The staffer also reminded the council about other constituent programs: congressional nominations to U.S. service academies (Military, Naval, Air Force and Merchant Marine Academies), a nationwide Congressional Art Competition (district entry deadline April 11, 2025) and a district office summer internship program (June–August, application on the office website).
