Planning Commission tables rezoning request for three parcels until April meeting

The Pocomoke City Planning Commission on March 19 tabled a public hearing on rezoning case 111-2025 at the applicant's request and moved the hearing to the commission's April meeting.

The rezoning request would change three parcels from B-2 (general business) to R-3 (multifamily). The parcels cited by staff were: Parcel 1, approximately 13.33 acres on the west side of Route 13 (Map 84, Grid 20); Parcel 2, 5.18 acres on Market Street Extended (Map 84, Grid 19, tax account 01003690); and Parcel 3 (Map 84, Grid 4, tax account 01-042661) listed as owned by Southern AG LLC. Staff said the applicant, identified in the record as Carlton Mason, asked for additional time to prepare and requested the item be rescheduled to the April 16 meeting.
