"It did seem like the committee wanted to commission a subcommittee for the dark sky initiative, knowing it's gonna be a tall order for our city being as urban as we are and as close to a city center as we are," the staff member said.

When the commission considered specific appointments to the subcommittee, one commissioner moved and seconded to table appointments to the next meeting because several commission members were not present.
