County staff presented a draft memorandum of understanding (MOU) intended to permit the Norfolk County Agricultural High School to use designated surplus county capital funds for specified purposes and asked commissioners to forward the draft to the school's superintendent and board of trustees for their review.
Director Cronin said he had presented the draft MOU at the prior meeting and gave commissioners a week to submit edits. "I presented this draft MOU ... which included an agreement we can have with the agricultural school to utilize surplus capital funds from the county for designated purposes," Cronin said. He told the commission he had not received edits and that he would be "seeking a vote from the commissioners to convey this to the school superintendent/slash trustees for their review" and, upon confirmation of any edits, to finalize signatures and endorsement by both parties.
The meeting transcript does not record a subsequent motion or vote on the MOU during the Oct. 1 session. The item remained in the record as old business and, per the director's statement, was to be conveyed to the school for review and returned to the commission if edits or comments were submitted.
