The planning commission expects to schedule a public hearing on the subdivision ordinance at its May meeting and a public hearing on the general plan possibly in April, subject to staff scheduling and public-notice requirements.
The commission also discussed a specific building-permit inquiry and concluded the proposed accessory building would fit on a property provided a supporting survey confirms frontage and driveway access. One planning commissioner noted that an applicant (Bonnie Burt) needs to submit a permit application after surveying to finalize the permit process.
Additionally, the planning commission reported a chair change: Jessica Severa resigned from the planning commission and Louanna Haynes was elected chair. The council discussed the need to fill one planning-commission vacancy.
No ordinance was adopted by the council at the meeting; the planning commission and staff will pursue public-notice and public-hearing steps in the coming months.
