Staff announced a new monthly bingo night on the first Monday of each month; the initial event was described as well attended.
Community activities staff said Breakfast with the Bunnies, organized by the Carmel Host Lions, will be Saturday, April 19 (the Saturday before Easter). Staff emphasized that the event is not an Easter egg hunt but will feature pancakes, crafts, dancing and photos with the Easter bunny.
The city’s third annual Earth and Arbor Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Devendorf Park. Staff said local environmental and community groups, music and children’s crafts will be part of the event; Public Works and the environmental compliance team will assist.
Staff also mentioned that Third Thursday events have resumed after a March restart, a larger community day is planned for September, and the city has launched an Instagram account. Staff encouraged residents to sign up for the weekly “Friday letter” for event listings and provided phone numbers for City Hall (620-2000) and Community Activities (620-2020) for help subscribing.
