Because the city has no separate standards for residential signage inside the village, staff reported they applied the standards used for signage outside the village and found the proposed sign consistent with those standards. Staff also stated the project is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
Committee members expressed general support for the sign and noted it contributes to the new building’s finished appearance. A member noted the applicants had gone through an “extensive and difficult process during transitions with the city” to reach construction, and the committee welcomed the project’s completion.
