Abington Heights board approves routine financial, personnel and partnership items unanimously

The board approved the meeting agenda and minutes for Feb. 19 and March 5. The treasurer's report showed a beginning cash balance of $28,928,160.14, monthly revenues of approximately $3,361,144.20 and net disbursements of $5,964,260.25 for an available cash balance of $26,325,052.09; the board approved the treasurer's report by roll call, 8‑0.
Other board actions approved by recorded roll call (all 8‑0 unless noted) included:
- Personnel report as presented. - March 2025 volunteer list. - Establishment of a student activity account for the Mini‑THON. - Extension of the University of Scranton affiliation agreement to place students for field experiences through Dec. 15, 2027. - A rental agreement with Clarks Summit University. - Agreements with the Scranton School District for the AEDY program placement for student 46A and for center‑based emotional support for student 47A. - Adoption of special education policies through the intermediate unit (NEIU) as presented. - Approval of two new Abington Heights job descriptions: Human Resources Generalist and Executive Administrative Assistant for Human Resources.
Each item was moved and seconded during the meeting; roll‑call votes were taken and recorded. No item was defeated or tabled during the meeting.
