Facilities staff said transformers testing will occur when school is not in session and that roof work will be scheduled to minimize classroom disruption.
Other capital items the administration described: replacement of a diesel tank at the bus garage to meet inspection requirements, adding glycol to heating loops at two sites to prevent freeze‑ups, and several energy‑efficiency and infrastructure improvements. Facilities staff said these projects will be funded from the district’s capital projects fund.
The board also authorized moving forward with construction‑management services and architectural services contracts. The administration recommended Equals Construction Management as construction manager and HDT/HPG (architect) to take schematic designs through construction closeout for the middle‑school project and the O'Block Elementary project. A board member asked that O'Block be separated for final approval of scope and cost until the administration presents the April 16 schematic design and related budget details; district staff said the April 16 presentation and posting of materials to the district website would follow.
