The registry designation recognizes long-standing local businesses that contribute to neighborhood identity and face a risk of displacement. Commission President Matsuda announced the outcome after a motion to adopt staff recommendations passed, saying, "So moved, commissioners. That motion passes unanimously 6 to 0." The vote recorded Commissioners Barone, Vergara, Wright, Foley, Nagas Warren and President Matsuda in the affirmative.
