The council read and approved by title an ordinance vacating an easement that covered most of the property at Parkway Apartments, removing the easement except where noted in the ordinance. The council dispensed with the three-reading requirement and approved the ordinance in a single motion.
Public works director Frederickson described the easement as one that covered nearly the entire development parcel and said the vacation was requested by the developer to allow covered parking that would otherwise sit over utility easements. “The property in question is actually referred to as Parkway Apartments at Snake River Landing,” Frederickson said during the presentation.
