Oxnard staff recommends $6.0 million Onyx Paving contract for Phase 1 neighborhood resurfacing

Tamara Flynn, construction project manager for Public Works Engineering, told the Oxnard City Council that city staff recommends the council approve a construction agreement with Onyx Paving Company in the amount of $6,006,007.50 for the citywide neighborhood street resurfacing project Phase 1 and authorize a 10% contingency of $600,601, for a total not-to-exceed construction amount of $6,606,608.50.
City staff presented the project as Phase 1 of the City of Oxnard's five-phase citywide pavement management program, and said the total project cost including construction, contingency and engineering, inspection, survey and project management is $7,207,209.50.
