Members of the Master Plan Implementation Committee reviewed a Taunton-provided GIS map showing where Taunton water lines run through the Town of Lakeville and discussed several local connections that do not yet appear on the map.
A committee member said the map in the packet appears to be about two years old and may not show the newest supply line to the Clip-on lot. "I I didn't see it on there," a committee member said when asked whether the clip-on lot line was mapped. A staff representative said the map needs updating and that Taunton must send a revised file.
Committee members asked where lines serve local park facilities and the hospital. One attendee asked whether the snack-shack and restroom areas at a park had been connected; a staff member said the restroom hookup is complete and that the snack-shack area is served by the extension. Another speaker said a recently installed line is "99.9% done" and "not officially live yet" but expected to be active "any day."
The committee also discussed Clearpond Park and an engineering plan under development that includes concept plans for a walking trail around the pond. Members suggested adding the new trails and amenities to the master plan once the engineering plan is finalized.
No formal vote resulted from this agenda item; the committee asked staff to obtain the updated Taunton GIS data for future review.
