Mayor Nirenberg on March 2025 opened the zoning portion of the San Antonio City Council meeting and said items 11 and 12 had been withdrawn and would not be heard.
The council then moved and approved a consent zoning agenda that included items 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 26, 27 and 28. The motion carried on a voice vote.
Separately, Council members approved continuances. Items 1, 7, 30 and 31 were continued to April 17. Council members also voted to continue items 20 and 21 to April 3. Mayor Nirenberg announced the continuances before the body took up individual items.
Members of the public who had signed up to speak on consent items were heard briefly. Jack Finger spoke on multiple items, flagging concerns about neighborhood conditions and asking council members with those districts to consult residents before voting. Leon Jackson waived his time on item 15.
By the end of the zoning session the council recorded that the consent motion carried and the continued items would return on the stated dates. The council adjourned the zoning session after concluding individual items.
Votes at a glance: the consent motion to approve the listed consent items passed; continuance motions for items 1, 7, 30 and 31 to April 17 passed; continuance motions for items 20 and 21 to April 3 passed; items 11 and 12 were withdrawn and were not heard.
