Rob Mazzanati, assistant superintendent, said the funds will be used to create a communication plan that could include a web presence, a promotional video, email communications, branded stickers and a student creative competition with awards. The advisory committee had recommended a three-phase rollout: an internal launch for staff and students in spring 2025, a broader community phase in fall 2025, and a sustaining phase in spring 2026.

A committee member clarified that the $3,000 did not represent a newly approved line item voted on at the meeting but rather a reallocation identified in the FY25 budget by administration. The committee agreed the initial internal rollout would align with the district professional development day on March 28.
The advisory committee's earlier motion recommending the rollout included the list of suggested deliverables and the funding recommendation; the administration will finalize the plan and the committee members offered to assist with brainstorming and materials.
No formal vote to appropriate additional funds for FY26 was recorded; committee members said further funding discussions will be part of the FY26 budget process.
