Committee members said the ESCO interior lighting replacement project has been completed at all 25 schools. The committee also reviewed options for testing drinking-water fixtures and selected a randomized approach: test 20% of randomly selected consumption points annually across all schools. If any test shows elevated results at a location, the committee said, all consumption points at that location will be tested.
The committee said that this method follows the district's earlier approach used when students returned to in‑person learning after COVID‑19. Members noted the plan will be evaluated over a five-year period to determine whether random sampling remains the most effective use of funds and that the testing cadence could be revisited in future years.
