The Tracy City Council on March 18 accepted the Transportation Advisory Commission—s annual report and thanked commissioners for their community outreach and public-transit work.
Transit Manager Ed Level introduced Commissioner Dylan and Vice Chair Francis, who summarized the commission—s engagement over the prior year. Commissioners said they participated in public events including farmers markets, block parties and the Tracy Airport Halloween event to gather input and promote transit, bicycling and other mobility options.
Commissioners noted outreach related to transit-route planning and rider feedback that informed a short-range transit plan adopted last year, and they urged the council to prioritize pedestrian safety and lighting at crosswalks.
Council voted to accept the commission—s report on a roll-call vote; staff will continue to coordinate on transit needs and on-seasonal events such as the annual bus participation in the city—s parade.
