Wissahickon board approves high-school stadium bleacher replacement after brief discussion on cost

The Wissahickon School Board approved the high-school stadium bleacher project (agenda item 16.2) during its March 3 meeting after discussion about cost and necessity.

Joe (Facilities and Transportation) presented the item and noted the contract and project were reviewed at the prior week's meeting and unchanged. One board member said the expense "is a lot of money for the bleachers" but added that replacement "has to be done" and noted the district should be as fiscally responsible as possible.

The motion to approve action item 16.2 was made and seconded. The board voted by voice; members responded "Aye" and the motion passed with no recorded opposition.
